The Roselle Fire Department in MABAS Division 12 has been added to the site. Roselle runs out of one station packed full of apparatus, most of which was built by E-ONE. They have two engines, a tower ladder, and a wetside tanker in addition to a Darley heavy rescue, two medic units, and a 1927 Pirsch which has been restored for parade use.
This is a combination department with 13 full-time personnel, 33 part-time, and six contract medics. They cover the town of Roselle as well as unincorporated areas of Roselle, Itasca, Medinah, and Schaumburg. Some of their district is in Cook County although the majority is located in Dupage County.

Karl Klotz visited the Braceville Fire Department in MABAS Division 15 and photographed their newest unit. Engine 3212 was previously featured HERE just after it was delivered. It has been lettered and placed into service replacing two other units. The new engine is a 2010 Spartan Metro Star/Darley 1750/1000 top mount unit. Gone now is the previous Engine 3212, a 1982 Hendrickson 1871-C/Alexis 1250/1000 top mount that was purchased from Braidwood, IL. Also gone is Truck 3219, a 1979 Seagrave/Pierce 1000/500/500 with a 54-foot Squrt. This unit previously was from the Lyondell/Equistar facility in Morris.
Both units went to the Dana Fire Department in Dana, IL, which is in LaSalle County, approximately 50 miles southeast of Braceville.

Another photo history gallery has been added to the site. Stone Park, in MABAS Division 20 has a gallery HERE showing apparatus dating back to 1954. Their history is rich with Darley and E-ONE rigs, and a classic custom Pirsch.
One of their current engines was an emergency purchase to replace a 2002 HME/Darley engine that was damaged beyond repair in a traffic collision on April 27, 2004. The accident involved the Stone Park engine and a Northlake engine, both of which were responding to an alarm. The collision resulted in the death of Jeffrey Bergstrom, a part-time firefighter for the Stone Park Fire Department. The Illinois Fire Service Institute Firefighter Record has a summary of the accident with scene photos. The article includes the following:
In addition to serving as a part-time firefighter and paramedic for the Stone Park Fire Department, Bergstrom was also a paramedic for Ambulance Company 44 of the Chicago Fire Department. Firefighters and paramedics from both departments joined firefighters from around the country in paying tribute to Bergstrom during a funeral procession through several Chicago suburbs and at a memorial service in Hillside, Illinois.

An historic photo gallery with 24 images from Bill Friedrich and Larry Shapiro has been added to the Station 1 page for the Lake Zurich Fire Department. The gallery dates back to 1961 and traces the apparatus history through the current Pierce fleet. Several years ago, EMS for Lake Zurich and the surrounding unincorporated areas was provided by the Lake Zurich Rescue Squad, a separate company from the fire department. In recent years, the fire department took over the rescue squad and now provides fire and EMS services to the Village of Lake Zurich and areas covered by the Lake Zurich Rural Fire Protection District.
Older apparatus included units built by Mack, Darley, E-ONE, McCoy Miller, Frontline, and Howe.
Bill Friedrich also supplied a new image of Truck 3230 which was inserted onto the Lake Zurich Fire Department page for Station 1.

The Oak Park Fire Department with River Forest Engine 222 responded to a reported house fire around 12:30PM yesterday at 1048 N. Elmwood. While enroute, OPPD advised units that officers on the scene arrived to find smoke showing from the second floor and that an invalid in a wheelchair was on the first floor.
First arriving companies got the woman out and led out a line to the second floor.
Upstairs they encountered a moderate smoke condiditon and fire in a second floor bedroom. The fire was extinguished and the house ventilated. All OPFD units responded and worked, River Forest E222 stood by as RIT.

An historical photo gallery of the Robbins Fire Department (MABAS Division 22) has been added to the site with images from Bill Friedrich and others. Apparatus is depicted from the early 1900s through their most recent past.
Although we have no dates or descriptions associated with this photo, it is a classic look into the history of the Robbins Fire Department. If anyone can supply us with information, we would be grateful to have it so that we can provide an accurate caption.

The Sauk Village Fire Department in MABAS Division 27 has been added to the site. Sauk Village has a relatively new fleet of Crimson apparatus on Spartan chassis with Gladiator cabs featuring the Evolution trim package. The rigs are black over red with a gold stripe. This scheme replaces white apparatus with a blue strip that the department has been running for quite some time. There is still one white engine left in the fleet, a 1995 Spartan Gladiator/S&S TM engine.
Among the units from Crimson are an engine, a pumper/squad, and one of the area’s few mid-mount tower ladders. Previously, Sauk Village ran with a Hendrickson/3D/Darley/65′ Snorkel and another engine from S&S on a Spartan chassis.

The Robbins Fire Department in MABAS Division 22 has now been added to the site. Robbins has one station with four engines, a tower ladder, and a mini-pumper. The engines are from Darley, E-ONE, Fire-Max, and HME. The Darley is a former Orland engine and the E-ONE came from Riverside. They provide EMS first responders to assist Bud’s Ambulance Service who is contracted for ALS service to the community. The mini-pumper was built by Hammerly on a Dodge chassis (correction … a Ford chassis). This was formerly owned by a department somewhere on the East Coast (correction … by Libertyville, IL).
