New ambulance for Aurora FD

Fire Service, Inc. would like to thank Fire Chief Gary Krienitz, Assistant Chief Mark Matkovich, and the City of Aurora Fire Department for their recent purchase of another Wheeled Coach Type 1 Ford F550 gas ambulance. Aurora has exclusively used Fire Service, Inc. and Wheeled Coach as their ambulance vendor of choice since 2010! This ambulance is customized to meet the operational requirements of the department, including a curbside forward entry and ergonomically located ALS cabinet, full aluminum interior cabinetry, patented Cool Bar HVAC system, Whelen emergency warning systems, and the Stryker Power Load System. With the IMMI controlled deceleration restraints, and the Safeguard Box Frame, Aurora will have the safest and strongest ambulances available. Innovations such as the AntiCor Protection System, with the ToughCoat Paint process, provide a revolutionary high-tech primer with adhesion and anti-corrosive properties never before achieved for a super tough, and long lasting finish. New ambulance for the Lansing FD (more)

Congratulations to Chief Chad Kooyenga and the members of the Lansing Fire Department in Illinois on the recent delivery of their new Wheeled Coach custom Type I ambulance. This unit was built on a Ford F-550 4×2 chassis and came equipped with a custom Liquid Spring suspension system. This was a welcome addition to their fleet and will provide years of reliable service to the residents. We appreciate the business from this long time Fire Service Inc. customer.

Thought you may want to share AFD’s newest truck, Truck 2.  Currently it’s at the garage being fitted for tools and radios and hopefully will be in service by the end of the year.

New aerial ladder truck for the Munster FD

Congratulations to Fire Chief Mark Hajduk and the Munster Indiana firefighters on the purchase of their new E-ONE HP75 aerial. This apparatus will be equipped with a 500-HP engine and an Allison EVS4500 transmission. It will have a HALE QMAX 2250-GPM pump with a 2000-GPM aerial waterway, 75-ft heavy duty aerial with a 750 lb. tip load, large diameter discharges, oversized plumbing, a 500-gallon Poly Tank, Williams Industrial Foam System, 30-gallon on-board foam cell, with off-truck foam pick up system, all LED emergency lighting, and a complete ISO complement of ground ladders. The 4-man Typhoon cab will come equipped with E-ONE’S side roll airbag system.

New ambulance for the North Riverside FD

Congratulations to Chief Bob McDermott and the North Riverside Fire Department on their recent purchase of a 2022 Ford Type III Wheeled Coach ambulance. This is the second Wheeled Coach in their fleet and includes a patented Safeguard Box Modular Frame including the patented TrueForm Wall construction, which provides the highest quality, precision engineering with accurate and square framed results. Utilizing Wheeled Coach’s AntiCor Protection and the ToughCoat Paint Process, the longevity of the body paint and anti corrosive properties will serve the department in maintaining their cultural image within the community for years to come. Other highlights include the Cool Bar HVAC system, Whelen emergency warning systems, Stryker Power Load, Per4Max controlled deceleration restraints, and Technimount monitor mounting systems. New ambulance for the Lansing FD

Congratulations to Chief Chad Kooyenga and Lansing Fire Department on the recent purchase of their NEW 2022 Wheeled Coach Type I custom ambulance. This unit will come on a 2022 F-550 4×2 chassis complete with a Liquid Spring rear suspension system, 170” module, 72” interior headroom, custom interior cabinetry, Whelen LED emergency and scene lighting, drop skirt body sides for ease of entry, Per4 Max Restraint Systems, and a Stryker Power Load System. This will be Lansing’s second Wheeled Coach unit. We appreciate the continued business.

New ambulance for Midlothian

Congratulations to Chief Steve Hotwagner, members of the Midlothian Fire Department, and the village board on the recent purchase of their new 2022 Wheeled Coach Type III custom ambulance. This new unit will replace a 20-year-old reserve unit and will be their third Wheeled Coach ambulance. Since 2012, this busy suburban Chicagoland department has appreciated the durability that Wheeled Coach’s fully extruded body delivers. This unit will now come with Wheeled Coach’s all aluminum interior cabinetry, custom Whelen LED emergency lighting, LED scene and brow lighting, Stryker Power Load System, and Stryker Power Cot.
