This from Josh Boyajian:
Here is a picture of our old Snorkel that i have from my old photos. I couldn’t find out the specifications but here you go. Also i attached two of my dad’s photos from the 80’s. One is from a Fire in Berwyn at Ridgeland and Cermak, and the other one was at a different fire on Cermak Road in Berwyn.

This rig ended up in Wisconsin, I think it was Bonduel, but not sure. That was a very busy rig back in the day. Very under-powered on the road, should have been a diesel.

1972 Ford/Pierce 5 speed manual, gasoline engine. No water tank. 65ft. Boom. The snorkel was used at numerous fires in the Div. 11 area over the years. It was replaced by the current Stickney truck in 1997. I do not know where it ended up after leaving Stickney.

After all this talk I wanna see a piece on the Chicago snorkel history and how reserve snorkel 1 was the last man standing from that era

It is a Waterous Pump because of the stacked discharges ahead of the pump. And the Pierce logo is on the front grille of the truck. looks like the ol’ girl had a pretty good supply of ground ladders too.
