Congratulations and a big Thank You to Chief Kory Ryan and the Leyden Fire Protection District, IL! Leyden contracted for their second Wheeled Coach Type III Ambulance. Using the 2018 Ford E450 chassis, this oversized module incorporates the patented Cool Bar HVAC system, Whelen interior and exterior LED lighting, and custom cabinetry to optimize thier EMS operations. We are gratefull for Leyden’s continued trust in Fire Service, Inc. and our product offerings. Look for a delivery within 90 days.

New area ambulance updates

From Fire Service, Inc.:

The Westchester Fire Department ordered a new Wheeled Coach medium duty ambulance. This new unit will be on a 2014 Freightliner chassis.
Leyden Fire Protection District took delivery of a new Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance.

The North Aurora Fire Protection District ordered a new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance on a Ford F450 4×4 chassis. Delivery in November.
The Bensenville Fire Protection District took delivery of a 2011 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance that was a Fire Service demo.
The Chicago Ridge Fire Department ordered a 2014 Road Rescue medium duty ambulance on a TerraStarcChassis.
The Beecher Fire Protection District ordered new Road Rescue Type 3 ambulance.
The Schererville Fire Department took delivery of a new Road Rescue ambulance.

In MABAS Division 20, the Leyden Fire Protection District has been added to the site. Leyden has one station covering unincorporated Leyden Township. They have 13 full-time, 10 paid-on-call, and 6 contract personnel. Leyden currently houses the MABAS Division 20 Decon unit. They have two ambulances, a quint, an engine, and a utility unit.
