City of Naperville (IL) Equipment Vehicle
We recently completed this specialty equipment vehicle for the City of Naperville in Illinois. The vehicle features a Freightliner M2 106 conventional cab chassis and a custom LDV-built aluminum body. We added an auto open/close rear liftgate as well. The body has integrated emergency and scene lighting. A three camera rear view system has also been added to aid parking maneuvers. We prewired the vehicle for communications radios as well. A custom center console was fabricated to house the installed electronics. Six roll up exterior storage compartments were added which feature heavy duty slide out tray shelving for gear. A vertical compartment features storage for customer installed shoring struts and tubing. Six pull out platforms were also added to access the upper storage shelves.
