The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD is expecting delivery of their new Pierce 105′ quint next week. It will be black over red with a black ladder similar to the new truck in Homewood.
In addition, the first of the existing Lincolnshire-Riverwoods units to have the white roof repainted black is Engine 51 which recently came back from the paint shop. Engine 52 is due to go out for bodywork and a new black roof shortly.

According to Ryan …
… I found out that this is the last one to have a black ladder since NFPA no longer allows ladders to be painted black.
Ladder 550 is replacing a 1987 Pierce 105′ rear mount quint on a Lance chassis with an extra long cab.
