Four people were injured in a three-car collision Friday night in front of 21661 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Lincolnshire. Police reported seeing a car driving at a high rate of speed southbound on Milwaukee Avenue in the northbound lanes where he hit two cars. The collision required the passenger in one of the three cars to be extricated. Lincolnshire was on the scene with all on-duty companies including all three ambulances. Long Grove was requested as a fourth ambulance to the scene.

Larry Shapiro and Tim Olk went to the scene but both arrived after the injured had been transported to area hospitals. The Chicago Tribune reports that:

Four people were injured when a car speeding in the wrong lane passed a cop and ran into two vehicles Friday night in Lincolnshire, according to police.

Police received multiple 911 calls about 8:50 p.m. for a reckless driver.

Police say a Honda CRV hit street signs on Half Day Road in Lincolnshire before heading south on Milwaukee Avenue.

The CRV passed a Lincolnshire police officer near Aptakisic Road at a high rate of speed and collided with a Toyota and a Jeep, police said.

One person is in critical condition with life threatening injuries …

The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD is expecting delivery of their new Pierce 105′ quint next week. It will be black over red with a black ladder similar to the new truck in Homewood.

In addition, the first of the existing Lincolnshire-Riverwoods units to have the white roof repainted black is Engine 51 which recently came back from the paint shop. Engine 52 is due to go out for bodywork and a new black roof shortly.

Area departments commemorate 9/11

Many local area fire departments marked the 9th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks today. There are photos depicting two of these ceremonies in galleries HERE from the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD and the Palatine Rural FPD.

First complete fire department listing is added!

The 3 fire stations of the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods FPD, (MABAS Division 4) have been uploaded to the site!  As there have been ‘Beta‘ test pages previously that did not contain complete information representing the fire department listed, these (3) new pages accurately depict the stations, department patch, demographics and rigs at each site.  There is also a working link to the LRFPD website.

Included with this listing is their newest [gmt ma:auto//roadmap:]station #53[/gmt] at 671 Woodlands Parkway in Vernon Hills, IL  that opened within the past 2 weeks.
