This from Josh Boyajian:
Here are some pictures I’ve taken of Skokie’s new 2013 Pierce Dash CF Puc last weekend! The rear of the engine has a special compartment or storage area for the last 200 feet of their skid loads. Instead of the 200′ horseshoe of 1-3/4 or 2-1/2 that is on top of the skid, they have it in these compartments that are shoulder height! Which in my opinion is pretty cool and very firefighter friendly. Also the inside of the Dash CF cab, how much room is inside it. Very nice engine! Enjoy! Thanks Josh Boyajian

A New President 1960
In 1960, Doug Ogilvie was elected president and the company name was officially changed to Pierce Auto Body Works, Inc. Sales topped $1 million in Ogilvie’s first year at the helm, in part due to the popularity of the Snorkel. It was at this time that the decision was made to discontinue the van and beverage body lines and concentrate strictly on utility and fire business. In the early 60’s, utility sales made up 60% of the company’s business, but the fire division was growing steadily.
