The East Joliet Fire Protection District will be taking applications for the position of Paid on Call/Candidate. The application process will be for those looking to obtain their FF/Basic certificate through the State of Illinois. Certified personnel are also welcome to apply. Applications will be available starting Monday October 8th, 2018. There will be a nonrefundable application fee of $25.00 (CASH ONLY). Applications must be picked up, in person, at East Joliet Fire Station #51 911 S. Briggs St. Joliet, IL 60433. Applications will be available during normal business hours (8:00am-5:00pm). Complete applications must be returned no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018. Incomplete applications or applications turned in after 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 will not be accepted. ONLY 30 APPLICATIONS WILL BE HANDED OUT BETWEEN OCTOBER 8th, 2018 and October 12th, 2018. – Must be between the ages of 18 and 50

– High School Diploma or G.E.D

– Must be certified EMT-Basic (Current enrollment in EMT-B course will be accepted.)

– Valid State of Illinois Divers License

– No past Felony Convictions

– Clean driving record.
