This was Oak Forest Engine 91, a 1973 FWD/Pierce 1250/750. Built on FWD’s 4 wheel drive “Tractioneer” chassis. On a side note, all Oak Forest apparatus purchased in the 1970’s had manual transmission.Enjoy and comment. Mike Summa

In addition to Mike Summa’s photo of the Riverdale Fire Departments FWD engine they also ran this 1965 FWD/Pierce 85′ Snorkel. If you look closely at Mikes photo you can see the boom of this rig inside the station.

Hello,This is from the Dixmoor Fire Department. It is a 1953 Chevy/DARLEY 500-GPM panel truck. The booster inside is 200 feet of 1 1/2 inch hose. I guess for it’s time, this was state-of-the-art and fit the requirements of this department. Hope you enjoy,Mike S.
