This from Eric Haak:
This fire came in about 1:30 Saturday afternoon (1/28/17). It was in a great old home from the 1800’s at 45th and Ellis. I arrived just after it was boxed by the 5th Battalion. It looked like the fire was mostly in the attic area. The exposure was reported as vacant and in poor condition but the fire was held to the original occupied section.

Awesome shots Eric, the 2nd pic from the top with the new E-One and the historical building going would make for an awesome wallpaper, really nice photo. Have you got any bigger version of this available?? Thanks!

No insult or criticism intended, their faces just reminded me of the days gone by spent with SS-1 and being criticized for using them!!! A face like that used to mean a “working man”….kinda tongue and cheek. Keep the excellent pic’s coming….

Thanks for the kind remarks. The members of Squad 5 were wearing their packs at this fire. The picture you see was taken well after the fire was out and overhaul had been completed. They had already taken off their packs. Just wanted to be clear because sometimes one picture does not tell the entire story.
