Congratulations and a big Thank You to Chief Jon Bruce and the Crestwood IL FD on their purchase of a new 2017 Wheeled Coach, Type I ambulance. This new unit will be on a 2017 Ford F450 4×2 chassis with a Liquid Spring Suspension System. This custom unit will also contain Wheeled Coaches “COOLBAR” HVAC system, all LED lighting and custom interior. This is Crestwood’s first Wheeled Coach unit. We appreciate your trust and want to welcome the Crestwood Fire Department to the Fire Service family. Delivery in approx 120 days. We will post addtional pictures as the unit progresses. Thank You.

You cannot get 4×4 or a diesel in an ford van, that’s why they went with the pickup.

so it is an f450 not an e450 correct why the change I wonder I like the f series better anyway

They wanted a little bit bigger Ambulance. They run a ton of ambulance calls and the roads to metro and palos aren’t the best so they wanted something a more heavy duty
