This from Eric Haak:
Had a great opportunity to shoot the new Tower Ladder 39 at a still and box alarm this morning (5/7) at 59th and Carpenter. The fire was in a red x building and appeared to have started in back porches, which were fully involved when I arrived. Companies were defensive from the start.

The chassis from the original Pierce TL34 is in the fleet lot. It’s been picked pretty clean and is used as a parts rig

From talking to people on scene, this was Tower Ladder 34’s old rig that Tower Ladder 39 was using. Tower Ladder 34 is now officially in the old Tower Ladder 14. Heard it through the grapevine that the new TL39 has some kind of a leak but that is unsubstantiated as I am definitely not an insider. Just all stuff I overheard while on the fireground.

That was a spare that T34 was recently using. That wasn’t their main tower.

Great shots! Squad 5A is really beat to hell! Hope it is only cosmetic and can survive mechanically until the new deliveries arrive, if they ever do. Also, is that the same spare that Tower 34 was recently utilizing? Is Tower 34 now in their “new” rig? What happened to thier former previously assigned 1988 E-One rig?

What a nice overall shot (I mean the 1st pic).

No, that was sarcasm. The spare is TL39. The new tower is already in the shops.

What’s wrong with it?

Did they ask for a second tower ladder, because if that’s the “NEW” Tower 39, we’re in deep trouble….
