Beecher’s former Engine 404 (Pierce Saber) went to the Grant Park FPD and will be in service after some paint work.

The Addison FPD has placed an order with Pierce Global Emergency Products in Aurora for a 2012 Pierce Arrow XT quint.1500/500/75′ HAL Hale pump - Delivery July 2012
Bill Friedrich submitted an image of the Plainfield engine that was struck at the accident site with the following note:
… here is a shot of the engine that was side swiped on I-55. Plainfield FPD Engine 1941 was hit by the pump panel causing moderate damage. The engine was blocking for the ambulance. Engine 1941 is back in service and will be repaired in-house by the department mechanic. The engine crew was very lucky no one was seriously injured.

Karl Klotz took in a house fire in Frankfort‘s district last night and submitted several images with the following description:
Frankfort Ladder Co. 2 arrived to find heavy fire showing from the front and rear of this 2-story single family house. A quick knock down was made from the outside before making entry. Companies faced 20-degree weather, yet had no water problems and quickly extinguished the fire.

The Minooka Fire Protection District in MABAS Division 15 has taken delivery of a new engine from Pierce. No specs are available to us yet other than an Arrow XT chassis, but Martin Nowak spotted this on the Pierce Flickr site. It carries Pierce job number 24634.

Tim Olk had the good fortune to get the bulk of the Glenview Fire Department front line fleet assembled for a historic photo. Pictured are Truck 14, Engines 6,7,8,13, Battalion 6, and Ambulances 6 and 8. Ambulance 7 was called away for an EMS run and the balance of the fleet represents the department reserve units.

Bill Friedrich informs us of the following units that are currently on order from Pierce for area departments.
Pierce recently completed a 2011 Arrow XT engine for the Rutland-Dundee Fire Protection District in Division 2.

The Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District received their new 2011 Pierce Arrow XT 105′ quint this month. Karl Klotz photographed the new Truck 53 prior to it going into service. The new quint sports the department’s new color scheme replacing the white roof with black.

The new Pierce will replace a 100′ Seagrave quint on a single rear axle.
This unit will reportedly be placed for sale when the new Pierce goes into service.
Karl Klotz visited the Lisle Woodridge FPD last week and photographed the new buggy for the battalion and the new tower at Truck 537.
