Peotone put the new Engine 14 in service on 8-22-16.It is a 2015 Smeal/UST 1,500-GPM and carries 2,500 gallons of water. This engine replaces the 1995 Pierce Saber and the 1988 Mack/SPI tanker.

Peotone FPD’s stainless steel bodied pumper / tanker is looking good and the 2,000 gpm Hale pump module is almost finished with the UL testing and certification on 5/31.
Peotone Fire Protection District, Peotone, Illinois stainless steel pumper/tanker. Built on a SMEAL S-600 series chassis. Water capacity is 2,500 gallons.

I finally got a chance to take this in. It was very nice, much bigger than I expected. Rig shots were very hard to come by but got some cool stuff. The engine lettered for Rockdale does not belong to them from what I understand. I was happy to finally get to see the Peotone Snorkel.
