Working fire in Cicero, 12-11-23

This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:

At around 130am on December 11th, Cicero Fire companies were toned out for a structure fire @ 2704 S 60th Ct. Engine 2 arrived onscene with a fully involved, 2.5 sty wood frame, about 25×75′ and pulled a Box. Due to the amount of fire, exposure problems, and structural integrity, all companies went defensive. Truck Co. 2 put their aerial master stream to work on side A. Engine 1 & North Riverside Engine 807 lead out multiple big lines as well. I arrived about 10 minutes into the fire. The full gallery is HERE

2-Alarm fire in Oak Park, 4/13/19 (more)

This from Chi-Town Fire Photos of the 2-Alarm fire in Oak Park, 4/13/19

Saturday afternoon, Oak Park companies fought a tough fire @ 530 s Scoville in a two-story apartment building. Numerous hose lines were dropped and two master streams were used to knock down this fire. About two hours into this fire, there was another fire about three blocks away. The first-in companies (Riverside engine, Brookfield engine, and Oak Brook ladder) arrived to find a three-story frame house, with the back end totally involved. The area was taxed of all their resources which then brought a Task Force of Interdivisional companies to cover the towns while fighting these fires.

MABAS Division 11 fire trucks

This from Dan McInerney:

Last week MABAS Division 11 conducted a division wide Blue Card drill at the Cicero FD training tower. Departments from Division 11 performed basic fireground activities with an emphasis on radio protocol. The rain and clouds didn’t make for great pictures but I managed to grab a few.

Thick black smoke and flames burned freely through the roof of the building as Cicero upgraded the alarm for additional help in battling the blaze. Cicero Engine 2 seen through the fence has a positin in the next yard over. Josh Boyaian photo

Cicero companies responded to an industrial fire near Roosevelt and Laramie around 7PM and found a large, well involved building. Chicago companies also responded to a reported fire in the area and returned when it was confirmed that the fire was in Cicero. A header from the fire could be seen as far north as Morton Grove.

Josh Boyajian went to the fire and submitted several images and a description:

Cicero was toned out at around 7pm for a possible factory fire. While enroute there was a huge header visible for miles. Enigne 1 was was first on scene and requested a BOX. About 10 minutes later it was upgraded to a 2-11.  Cicero Eng 1 was the first engine and Cicero Trk 2 was the first truck.
