5-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 11-5-16 (more)

Photos from Steve Redick of the 5-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 11-5-16

Saturday early am at 26th & Kostner. Large vacant industrial building well involved on arrival. Several collapses occurred early in the incident. Access was good with large vacant lots on 2 sides of the complex. Several tower ladders and master streams were used. Most of the building was down by the time I arrived, the uninvolved section later burned in spectacular fashion a few hours after I “picked up”. There was no indication at the time I left that the fire had invaded that area. All the images and video can be seen here

Chicago Still Alarm fire, 2-15-14

This from Eric Haak:

At 1640hrs on Saturday, February 15th, companies responded to the report of a fire on the 1900 block of South Christiana Avenue on Chicago’s West side.  First-due companies reported light smoke showing on arrival.  Upon making entry, the basement was found to be fully involved.  Within the first few minutes, companies made a rescue of an unconscious male that looked to be in his late teens.  The fire was quickly brought under control.  At the time of this submission, there was no information on the condition of the victim.
