University Park Fire Department history

For TBT – This was the University Park Fire Dept.’s Engine 73, a 1980 Hendrickson/FMC 1500/500. This is a very old picture, the color does not show the yellow paint scheme very well.  The engine is also lettered Park Forest South before the name change.

  Those were good chassis. Milwaukee had several of these back in the late 1970’s and they served well into the mid 1990’s. Those are nice pics. Don’t worry about that first one since that gives it a nostalgic look to it. Of course now, you can do that to any picture thanks to the effects available on these photo apps.
