Many thanks to the Peotone Fire Protection District for the contract for their new 2019 Ford F-550 V10 gas engine chassis, Medwerks re-mount of the customer’s body, complete paint job to match the fire district’s fleet, LED lighting upgrade, interior upgrade and Liquid Spring conversion.
The work was performed by Dean Martin & crew at Crossroads Ambulance Sales & Service, LLC.
Interstate is proud to be the Illinois representative. You can see the quality work first hand at the Illinois Fire Protection District show in Peoria, IL starting this Friday and Saturday in the Peoria Convention Center.

Is it kind of unfortunate that the gas engine option does not allow for the optional electronic shift-on-the fly (ESOF) 4×4 activation that is available on the diesels. The “gassers” require a manual floor lever for 4×4 activation. Kind of disturbs the front console layout. Seems somewhat antiquated but I’m sure there is a logical reason why ESOF can’t be provided – I just haven’t heard it yet.
