Employment opportunity for Candidates information

**Attention**
The East Joliet Fire Protection District will be taking applications for the position of Candidate through the East Joliet Fire Protection District Candidate Program. The application process will be for those looking to obtain their FF/Basic certificate through the State of Illinois. Certified personnel are also welcome to apply. An Illinois State EMT-B or P certification is strongly preferred but is not required to apply. Applications will be available starting Monday July 1, 2019 at 8:00am. There will be a nonrefundable application fee of $20.00 (CASH ONLY). Applications must be picked up, in person, at East Joliet Fire Station #51 911 S. Briggs St. Joliet, IL 60433. Applications will be available during normal business hours (8:00am-4:00pm). Complete applications must be returned no later than 4:00pm on Friday, July 5, 2019. Incomplete applications or applications turned in after 4:00pm on Friday, July 5, 2019 will not be accepted. Applicants chosen can expect a mandatory orientation day on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 8:00am. – U.S Citizen
– Must be between the ages of 18-50
– High School Diploma or G.E.D
– Valid State of Illinois Divers License
– No past Felony Convictions
– Clean driving record
– Must live within 20 miles of the District
