The Bloomingdale FPD responded to a reported explosion in an industrial facility this afternoon in unincorporated Glendale Heights. The Daily Herald reports :
At least two people were injured Monday morning in an explosion and fire inside Northstar Metal Products Inc., a metal fabricating plant in Glendale Heights.
Bloomingdale Deputy Fire Chief Jeffrey Janus said firefighters responded at 11:56 a.m. to a report of an explosion and arrived to find smoke pouring from the rear of the building at 591 Mitchell Drive.

Bloomingdale is selling the old Engine 3 and the plan is to eventually move Engine 5 up to station 2. Station 1 will house Engine 1 and the pumper tanker Engine 3 as well as two Ambulances

I was also at the scene early Monday afternoon. I was able to take a few pictures of Bloomingdales Engine 5 which is now the 2nd out engine at Station 1 as well as Itasca Engine 66 and the Wood Dale Ladder.
