From the Huntley Fire Protection District Facebook page:
Members of the apparatus committee traveled to Rock Rapids Iowa Thursday to take possession of station two’s new ambulance. Arrow Ambulance specializes in remounting new chassis to existing work boxes which saves the fire district a substantial amount compared to buying an all new ambulance. I wonder if this will go to Station 5? I am not sure what the situation is now with the new station 1. I believe all 3 Huntley fire stations got new Ambulances between 2015 and 2017. That leaves only Station 4 or 5 that this rig could go to.
Does anyone know how the new Toyne engine is working out?

Drew, did that include rewiring and a complete refresh of the box? Thank you

We did two in Prospect Heights, put a 2006 on a 2017 and a 2007 on a 2018. Both Ford E-Superdutys. Cost was roughly $150,000 with complete repaint of both boxes.

How much is a remount compared to buying new?
