So sad to loose someone so inspirational. While many of us have had excellent instructors in the fire service, it was Alan Brunacini who has taught us how to be human and help others well beyond the call. The true uniqueness and beauty of the fire service is not just the opportunity to help others when they need us the most…but also the opportunity to care about their recovery as well. By encouraging us to perform simple acts of human kindness to those whom we encounter, he had upgraded the fire service into an even higher level of respect and admiration. Chief Brunacini also had amazing insight into incident command, personal safety, and fire department management as well. Although he will be greatly missed, his legacy will live on as long as we continue to excel in public service and go well beyond what is expected of us. RIP
