Both the Waukegan Fire Department and the North Chicago Fire Department received calls early this morning (10/10/15) about smoke in the area or reporting a fire. When companies arrived in the area, they found heavy fire at Waukegan Towing and Auto Repair, 1115 Elizabeth Street which is very close to Waukegan’s border with North Chicago.

The alarm was upgraded to a Box Alarm for change of quarters only before being filled out to bring additional units to assist at the scene. Here are several images.  A video will follow.
