Crab, that style of 4 door cab was not uncommon, just not real popular. Many depts. did that to keep the wheelbase short, and with the top mount pump, that adds a few inches to the wheelbase.

I wonder if the enclosure was added on or built that way. Hard to believe that this style cab is pretty much gone with the exception of a heavy recues/command post that have tons of room anyway. Sharp looking rig just the same.
