If the rescue companies are no longer in service, which vehicles carry extrication equipment and respond to auto accidents? Do they still have a Hazardous Materials and a Collapse Rescue unit?

Does this have a shorter wheelbase?

75’ straight aerial for Truck 4 and 2 Pierce Impel pumpers.
Peoria no longer has rescue companies in service.

Agreed, who knows if they switched back or not. My guess is they are going to replace the truck downtown and maybe truck 14 at Station 16 on the north side of town. At least 7 out of 11 frontline engines are E-One. Pierce,KME, Pierce, E-One now back to Pierce. I hope the E-One engines are holding up better for them than the Pierce engines did.

They just ordered some pierce ladders. So who knows if they switched back completely or if it’s just for the trucks.

This started as Rescue 1, then Rescue 2 and Rescue 3. This was replaced by a 2004 KME rescue at their Central Station.
The rescue was the first in a series of KME rigs from 2004-2006. They went back to Pierce 2009-2015. Now E-One since 2017. By my count, they have 7 E-One engine in service in the city. Three are 2017’s three are 2020’s and 1 is a 2021. Don’t know which ones are assigned to which engines.
