The speculation has been that most likely it could go to Truck 34 since they just become a truck after being a tower ladder for 32 years.
From my understanding, they made Tower Ladder 34 into a truck company because they had several accidents over the years damaging the tower ladder. The district has some tight viaduct underpasses. While I doubt it will happen, I think it would be a better idea to order a mid-mounted tower ladder from E/One. Mid-mounts don’t have a high front overhang as the ladder is lower on the body. It would be a one-of-a-kind apparatus in Chicago but it would solve the overhang problem.

Beautiful station. Hopefully the firefighter statue along with the memorial display case and stone for LC all get relocated to their new quarters.
In a previous post, it was noted where the current Truck Co. 24, Spartan/Crimson, is speculated to be reassigned to.

My bad, this is Truck 24s house. The rig will definitely be reassigned.

Engine Co. 75 is still in service so they’ll be using the rig. They consolidated with Engine 115 and Tower Ladder 24 at a new firehouse.

What will happen to this rig? My guess is it will be re-assigned.
