Gentlemen just ask and you may receive, I just so happen to have a couple of photos of the Snorkel at work. Photos of it working were pretty rare back in those days. It originally ran as the downtown Truck Company out of Station 1. The first fire was at 10th & Broadway in the late 60’s, not sure where the second fire took place, may have been on Washington St. in the 500 block in the same era.The third photo was it’s last resting place, again not sure of the location.

Rob the last photo was taken at a junkyard in Burns Harbor, IN. It was in-between I94 and US20 at Salt Creek Road. The junkyard that you are talking about was the final resting place of Gary’s ALF Aero-Chief Snorkel.

Nice pics, Wayne! The last picture in the series was taken at an old junkyard across the street from the airport on Industrial Highway. This yard was cleared out and sold back in the 90’s.
