From the Tinley Park Fire Department Firefighter’s Association Facebook:
After 18 years of serving the Village of Tinley Park and surrounding communities, this week, we bid farewell to Engine (Shop ID) 0020. This engine was purchased as one of three “triplets” in 2000. The other two of the three triplets are still in service with the TPFD. This engine served as E201 out of station 1, then was moved and served as E202 out of station 2 where it was renumbered to E47 with the MABAS 24 numbering change. Most recently, it was moved back to station 1 as E46 once station 46 began running a dedicated engine company out of it along with the truck company. It will continue to serve now with the Summit Fire Department who purchased it from us.

How about the other two triplets. Are they in frontline service or are they in reserve?

When will the new Pierce Enforcer Engine and the Velocity tower be delivered? Will they be delivered sometime this summer?
