Yes the Quint got moved to station 1 once they got the old Sugar Grove Tower. As of when I saw it at Condell a week ago the pierce is the frontline engine at station 1 and the KME is frontline at 2

So ,Shane was the Sutphen Quint relocated to Station 1 because I know that it was originally assigned to Station 2 at 1300 Lake street. Since the 2015 KME is 432 then is the current Engine 431 the 2003 Pierce Saber?
Thanks for the information and response.

This is going to be Engine 431. Mundelein runs 5 at Station 1 including the Battalion. If there’s a fire in town the crew from ambulance 431 jumps to the engine or Quint. The KME is at Station 2 when it’s not in the shops. They rotate between the Quint and engine but usually the Quint is frontline. At Station 2 the Tower is usually a mutual aid rig but when the KME is in the shops the Tower is frontline. They’re in the process of switching everything over to black over red.
This is Mundeleins current format of rigs
Station 1: Engine 431, Quint 431, Ambulance 431, Battalion 43
Station 2: Engine 432, Tower 432, Ambulance 432.

So’s the new rig going to station 1 or station 2? What engine is it replacing the 2003 Pierce at Station 2 or is it replacing another engine? Mundelein got a new engine delivered two years ago, a KME and it was assigned to station 1. Are they changing colors as the previous rigs were white over red?
I also was wondering how they operate their rigs as station one has an engine, tower ladder, and an ambulance. Station 2 has a quint, an engine, and an ambulance however they barely have enough on duty to staff an engine? The last I heard (which may or not be accurate) 4 were usually on duty at Station 1 and 3 at Station 2 not including the battalion chief. At least with 4 they can staff 2 on the ambulance on 2 on the engine or tower ladder. With 3, if the ambulance goes out the engine would either have to go out of service or run with only one man which is ridiculous. In reality, a 2-man engine or quint is also ridiculous but if a they with a 2-man ambulance you can use all as one crew.

I wonder what’s going in reserve or being gotten rid of, the sutphen or the kme. The only bad thing i see and it doesn’t matter cause it isn’t my rig is it looks like they would have a hard time with the deck gun due to the height of the body.
