This engine was traded in when Elgin purchased a new rig. A private organization obtained the rig later on and donated it to Elgin’s sister city. The City of Elgin was not involved in the donation.

Here here. I always wanted my own fire apparatus. They could have given it to me and taken it to all of the area musters……..Oh never mind just dreaming. 🙂

It looks better then my frontline rigs. Can’t they donate it to a poor Illinois FD? Or someone in eastern kentucky or West Virginia? Just thinkin’. It is good that they are willing to share with less fortunate brothers.
