This from Josh Boyajian:
I took in Melrose Park’s Box alarm this morning at 1518 Harold. They went defensive after the roof was caving in. It was 8 degrees during the fire. Their second in engine had a 500-ft reverse lay to a hydrant down the block. Here are some of my pictures.

Melrose Park Minimum manning: 2 Eng’s, 3 on each. 1 Truck (ok its a Bronto), 1 man. 1 Sqd-1 man. 2 Ambo’s, contract, 2 contract medics on each. May run a shift commander.
As all Div 20 towns, when an engine/truck go out of town, then 4 are on the rig.
Again, these are the minimums each day. Vacation time, sick leave, etc all affect having more manpower.

Sure about 4 on each engine??? Last I heard 2-3, if they go out of town, they will send 4 (pulling the Sqd out if they have to). Don’t have exact but ill follow up.

2 stations… station 3 has an engine, truck(bronto), ambulance and shift commander. Station 2 has an engine, squad and ambulance. As far as staffing, I still don’t know the exacts even though I’ve been in the Division for 11 years. Both engines have at least 4 on them daily, squad usually 1-2. The truck varies and ambulances sometimes have 3 on them.

Does any one have info in how Melrose runs with Company Staffing?
