Bill Post found a preview trailer for the show Chicago Fire
It is about one fire station which they are calling Station 55 but in reality it is Engine 18’s new house. It also shows the traditional rivalry between the squad men and the men assigned to the other companies.

I think it actually looks quite good. It’s true that the storylines are like from some mexican telenovela (lesbian paramedic..:DD) but the rest looks fine. Just when did you see a tv show about CFD last time, I’m glad that they made some show about my favorite dept.

the only way to have quality TV about fighting fire is to bring back the reality TV shows …. at the same time Backdraft used real fire and most shows use digital fire

I guess real fire house drama just wouldn’t make good tv; mustache violations, shifts not cleaning or stocking supplies, pranks, “our humor”, who’s the POS today, and the daily realities of the fire service most citizens and politians want nothing to do with. I’m betting this has the same outcome as Chicago Code did.
Gotta go…there’s drama to be read about who knew about E53 first! 😉
God I love the fire service!

you guys talk all this crap. if a realistic firefighter show actually worked they would put one on TV …. but every time they have it has failed after 1 season, maybe 2. when people watch TV shows they want drama and story, they want to have a reason to root for or against a character. from all accounts the fire dept and the city are very pleased with what they have seen so far. so if its not for you its not for you, but i assume most of you are old enough to understand how TV networks do things.

All the money, technology and advancements in film and they still can’t get fire scenes realistic. I thought I was watching a clip from Backdraft. Oh well, at least its not another cop show.

Looks like garbage again, can’t they make a fire series, without the stupid story lines, love affairs with co workers, macho bullcrap, please just make a realistic firefighting show, I will not watch and waste my time on wednesday nights in the fall, this should be an embarrassment to the Chicago FD
