New Network TV Show Chicago Fire – update

Bill Post found a preview trailer for the show Chicago Fire 

It is about one fire station which they are calling Station 55 but in reality it is Engine 18’s new house. It also shows the traditional rivalry between the squad men and the men assigned to the other companies.

Taylor Kinney to Star on Chicago Fire

Taylor Kinney, best known to fans of The CW as Mason Lockwood from The Vampire Diaries, has landed a lead role on Chicago Fire, an upcoming drama produced by Law & Order head honcho Dick Wolf.

Mason in Action

The series will center around the men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, with Kinney – as first reported by Deadline – portraying Squad Lieutenant Kelly Severide, someone described as an “adrenaline junkie.”

The actor joins a cast that also includes Eamonn Walker as the squad’s captain.

New network TV show based in Chicago ..

This past Monday the Peacock Network announced that they had picked up the option for a new series following a proposal by the producers and have ordered a pilot episode to be produced under the title Chicago Fire (how original).  The publicity office tells us, “This action-driven drama explores the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Dept.”  Wow!
