Another department has been added to Division 21. Thanks to Bill Friedrich and Karl Klotz for images representing the Roberts Park Fire Protection District which serves Hickory Hills and Justice. They run out of two stations with 17 career personnel and 60 part-time personnel. Most of the fire suppression apparatus is Pierce with one engine built by Crimson. Of interest is Ladder 31, a 2008 Pierce Arrow XT 100′ rear mount aerial with no pump and no water tank. This is one of the units that has been featured as the apparatus on the TV show “Rescue Me.”
Although both stations are located in Justice, Station 32 on Archer Avenue used to house the Justice Fire Department.

There is a mix up on station 2 (Roberts Park). Engine 32 is a 2003, engine 3R is a 2001, and Decon 21 is a 2005.

thanks for keeping us honest – you are right that Engine 32 was built in 2003, but the department does confirm that Engine 3R was built in 2000. The poor typing (20066) on the MABAS 21 DECON was also changed to 2005.

Larry,
I like your overhead shot of the NIPSTA site today. I was part of Div. 109’s Task Force assigned as the officer on Milwaukee T-26. MABAS-Illinois did an outstanding job today and all the Wisconsin divisions look forward to working with our counterparts down south more in the future.

I couldn’t find a way to contact the site because the contact button doesn’t take us anywhere. Roberts Park FD A31 and A31R should be switched. The Ambulance with the truck front is actually A31R and the new paint job ambo is A31. No big deal just sharing some information I know.

thank you – we’ll make the change
