This from Daniel Hynd:
The Tri-State Fire District worked a commercial fire at 11S224 Madison St in Burr Ridge on the evening of 1-7-24.Crews were met with heavy fire showing from a one story repair shop on arrival and deployed a deck gun and master stream. 20 minutes into the fire, the alarm was upgraded to a Box alarm. Due to limited supply from the hydrants, a tender box alarm was requested, bringing tenders from Pleasantview, Lemont, Plainfield, Homer, and York Center. Pleasantview’s hazmat was also requested to the scene to help control runoff from going into the sewer.

The Bolingbrook Fire Department worked a house fire in the 800 block of Bell Flower Ln on the evening of 1-4-24.Crews arrived just before midnight and had heavy smoke showing and found heavy fire in the basement. The fire created holes in the floor of the 1st floor, which complicated access. One victim was located on the 2nd floor and removed via a hole created in the bravo side wall.

Wheeling and Prospect Heights firefighters were sent to 375 Plum Creek Drive on Tuesday morning after a Wheeling Police Department Community Service Officer spotted heavy smoke from a fourth floor apartment. On arrival, flames and smoke were pushing out of a fourth floor balcony in the center of the building with extension to the fifth floor balcony. Wheeling Truck 24 hit it with an elevated master stream and Prospect Heights Engine 39 stretched a 2 1/2″ line to hit it from the base of the building before crews got into place for an interior attack.
This is the second fire this year in the same building. In March, they had fire in an end unit on the same floor.

This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:
At around 130am on December 11th, Cicero Fire companies were toned out for a structure fire @ 2704 S 60th Ct. Engine 2 arrived onscene with a fully involved, 2.5 sty wood frame, about 25×75′ and pulled a Box. Due to the amount of fire, exposure problems, and structural integrity, all companies went defensive. Truck Co. 2 put their aerial master stream to work on side A. Engine 1 & North Riverside Engine 807 lead out multiple big lines as well. I arrived about 10 minutes into the fire. The full gallery is HERE.
