Dive box in Bolingbrook, 11-25-22

This from Daniel Hynd:

At around 12:20pm on 11-25-22, the Bolingbrook Fire Department received a call for a vehicle that went into the water at the boat launch at Whalon Lake. 911 calls reported possibly two occupants in the vehicle. The driver self extricated from the vehicle and was rescued to shore by PD prior to FD arrival. Bolingbrook FD arrived on scene to find the vehicle fully submerged about 100 feet off shore. A dive box was requested shortly before arrival. Divers from MABAS 16 departments searched the water and were able to locate the vehicle. A boat and a drone were deployed, and sonar was used to aid in the search. About 3 hours after FD arrival, the vehicle was removed from the water. No other occupants were found inside the vehicle. The driver was transported by the Naperville FD to an area hospital.

New ambulance for Bolingbrook

From the Fire Service Inc. Facebook page:

Congratulations and a huge thank you to Deputy Chief Trinidad Garza and the Village of Bolingbrook Fire Department on the recent delivery of their newest Type 1 Wheeled Coach ambulance.

This unit has some well thought out changes supporting the ever expanding mission of the agency. Designed with turnout gear compartments on each side, and a specific compartment for Rescue Task Force equipment, BFD EMS operations become more efficient.
Also the use of Linex body lining on the lower portion of the module will add a level of body protection to areas which are closest to road debris.
Wheeled Coach patented Cool Bar HVAC and warning light housing provides for industry leading cooling ability, along with true 45 degree warning visibility.

Whelen M series LED exterior lights and interior LED domes, Stryker PowerLoad and built to CN 10 and 11 specifications, this unit will provide the members safe, consistent, and reliable EMS transportation for years to come. We are grateful for Bolingbrook’s continued confidence in Fire Service,Inc. and our portfolio of brands we represent.

New ambulance for Bolingbrook

From the Fire Service, Inc. Facebook page:

Fire Service, Inc would like to thank the Bolingbrook Fire Department on their recent order for a 2019 Ford F550 Type 1 Wheeled Coach ambulance. This is the 6th Wheeled Coach for Bolingbrook. The ambulance has been designed with the safety of the occupants, and the operational needs of the department in mind. Interior accommodations include the IMMI Per4Max restraint system, which fully allows the medics to be belted and remain restrained while working the patient. CN 10 and 11 compliant cabinetry and interior components, and the Stryker Power Load system, combine function with protection. Patented Cool Bar Ducted HVAC system provides superior temperature control within the module, and the advantage of 45 degree emergency warning lighting across the front of the ambulance. Whelen Warning systems including LED M series exterior lights, LED domes and Whelen siren, again Bolingbrook is mission ready for its community. We are excited to continue our relationship with Bolingbrook FD as a member of the Fire Service, Inc. family.
