Still & Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 2-9-19

This from Chi-Town Fire Photos:

Battalion 19 and companies had a very busy day. This was their third fire of the day @ 207 E 71st Street. Fire throughout a 75×75 storefront. Four 2.5” landlines were dropped and Squad 5 was put to work. Shortly thereafter, BC19 pulled a box and put Tower 34 to work in the front of the building. I got in there about 30 min into the fire.

Still & Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 1-31-19 (more)

This from Steve Redick:

Took this job in Thursday afternoon, temps were still below zero after record setting cold the previous day. CFD was sending a 3rd engine to all working fires to help overcome the many frozen hydrants encountered. In this case it looked to me like the two closest hydrants were in good working order. They were just a few minutes away from going defensive when I arrived. The tower ladder was positioned late in the fire after moving the first-due truck and second engine who was hooked to a hydrant. Members took a beating from the severe cold.

2-11 Alarm fire in Chicago, 1-30-19

This from Eric Haak:

Here are a few quick images from the 2-11 at 25th and Sacramento this afternoon in Chicago (1/30). Companies made an aggressive interior attack and went defensive as I was walking up. The first image was taken only a couple minutes after the companies evacuated the building and it appeared conditions deteriorated rapidly.
