This from Arvell Dorsey Jr.:
Hello my name is Arvell Dorsey Jr. (longtime website visitor).
Today (3/25/19) I visited Engine 70’s house to confirm that Truck 47 is back in service since I saw it last week, and it was there. Took some pictures of it before they got a medical run.
Excerpts from wgntv.com:
Five people, including three Chicago firefighters, were seriously injured when a van collided with a fire truck early Saturday morning in Rogers Park.
The fire truck was going South on Ridge near Loyola when it was hit head-on by a van traveling in the other direction.
Two people in the van were pinned in by the crash, and taken to St. Francis Hospital in serious-to-critical condition after they were extricated from the vehicle. The three firefighters were taken to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition.
There’s no information on what caused the crash, and it’s currently under investigation.

This from Josh Boyajian:
Wednesday, we were going to get a shot of the new buggy for Battalion 9. When we were by Engine 110, they put out a still alarm @ 6048 n Francisco. Engine 89 had nothing showing on arrival. When companies made entry, they found an apartment on the 1st floor with heavy smoke filling the stairwell. Engine 89 lead out a line while Truck 56 made the roof. They made a quick knock of a dryer fire. Here are some shots including the new buggy.
