Here are some images from the Chicago Fire Department’s Still & Box on Monday afternoon (3/18). The fire was in a 3-story, 75 x 100, ordinary building at the corner of Lake and Lockwood. Companies went defensive about a half hour in and two additional truck companies were requested. The fire was struck out in just under 2 hours.

This from Drew Gresik:
Caught a small fire @ 4718 W Monroe in the 13th Battalion on 12/13/14. Companies made a quick knock, they encountered rubbish on the first floor and 3 separate rubbish fires on the second floor in this vacant structure. OFI was requested immediately since the fires were suspicious in nature. Engine 113 hit a hydrant and dropped two lines while Truck 26 opened the roof. The squad and van were held en route.Drew Gresik

This from Steve Redick:
Yesterday, Madison and Karlov. Came in as a storefront fire, came to find out the building shared a common basement with some adjoining buildings. The 2-11 was basically for some extra truckmen. Really nothing to see from the outside. The rear of the fire building had a 1-story section with a bow string truss. A few shots from my quick walk around.Steve
