well I am not saying I am better than anyone else I know more than people think we all have the right to our opinion and speech as long as it is not hateful or hurtful if u don’t like what I say then ignore it and yes every vehicle is unique I agree wheather it is red blue 2 tone or whatever they are typically custom made

Enough already!!
Harry–it’s not about who gets the last word; we all have varying levels of knowledge and experience here. This site is about being able to comment on various fire service topics and related items & while we may not agree on everything that is said, you don’t need to come on here and say you are better than the rest of us. I am of the opinion that you think your opinion is the only one that is right & everything else does not matter.
So, you have traveled all around the country and seen lots of fire apparatus. That’s great!! So have I; thing is I don’t come on here and say one is better than another. Every piece of fire apparatus is unique in its own way.
Respect the profession and please try to respect the others that comment and share on this site. Thank you!

Harry, please stop. You continue to show how small of a person you truly are. Regarding your points… interesting but irrelevant ….
Just enjoy the photos.

well mike c I guess I may surprise u emergency vehicle tech.
and yes I don’t know anything about pumps or how to install them but I can definety tell u if it is a cummins motor by the sound because in palm beach gardens fl there rescues as in ambulance 5 of the 9 have cummins in them and they were shocked I knew that because has always been my favorite except for back when rigs had the Detroit diesel that roared when they accerated but those days are gone I may be annogant but u are very negative about 1 of the top best firetrucks pierce please for the future if u cant comment nice I don’t want to hear from u bottom line because remember I will have the last word always

“Harry” – I can tell you lack intelligence just how you communicate. The amount of pictures you have doesn’t make you anymore knowledgable than the firefighters who work the apparatus? Do you know how to operate a pump or for that fact put it in pump gear? Look, kid…I’ve been an EVT for 16 almost 17 years. You most likely ask yourself, “What’s an EVT?” Bet you don’t even know without googling it. I’ve worked on the most well known manufacturers rigs. Pierce, Seagrave, KME, E-One, Spartan, etc. I’ve rebuilt pumps, rebuilt front ends, removed engines on fixed cabs, numerous hydraulic repairs on aerials. You have made it clear by now that your knowledge is in fact very limited. You are simply an arrogant kid.

We used to have $25,000 fire trucks and million dollar firemen. Now we have million dollar trucks with…..wonder what the general taxpaying public would do if they started asking the Chiefs that spec and buy these rigs and all their tools “well, what is this for, and when was the last time you used one?”. Seems like it’s consistently a game to one up the Chief the next town over with some doohickey or light package or some expensive, easily breakable, rarely used option on a rig.

mike c yes there is a lot more to a rig than color but for instance I was in florida last week and wanted to see Pinellas k new single axle sutphen ladder it was red but I was in florida if I had to spend 1000 plus dollars to see a red fire truck I would not there for I am not going to fdic just to see basic fire vehicles I know there is a nice blue seagrave there but otherwise not interested and as for being a fire buff yes I take pictures of fire rigs and police and public works trucks too I likely have a larger picture collection and photogenic memory than most of u how many of u guys have been in 33 or more states but all in all mike u have met your match on argueing I will do it better than u I guarantee that and many firefighters have told me I know more than them about vehicles which I do just like u will still not admit that pierce makes a great product they would not be in business if they were bad now would they

“Harry” – WHO CARES WHAT COLOR APPARATUS IS ON DISPLAY??? If you are so focused on color, go to Sherwin Williams paint store and look at color swatches! There is A LOT more that goes into the apparatus than the color. One thing I always like to look at is the fit & finish of the rigs. These rigs are hand built! It’s definitely something to admire! I also like to look at the customer rigs to see what unique features they spec’d out to give me an idea what I might advocate for when purchasing new apparatus. I also like to talk with the representatives of the builders to hear their knowledge about their product. “Harry”, I think you should disclose your real identity so we know who you are! You are clearly an amateur fire buff! You are clearly closed minded! Just as you argued over and over about Medtec and Horton being the same and NEVER supporting your argument with any liable information!

Thanks Marty. Good to see traditions continue. I only saw 2 rigs with the external mount “888”s. Good to see those are still around.

Who’s taking away the technical advances in fire apparatus?
A department is paying some odd half million or more for an apparatus why not have whatever color they want.
It has to have some color otherwise it would corrode rather quickly.

A piece of apparatus can show up without any color for I care. It isn’t about the shiny color scheme for those going to FDIC. Finding new innovations and ways to make the job better is!

The Rosenbauer ACP-55/Snorkel was ordered by Wyndmoor Hose Co in PA. The Roto Rays is from their original rig and was remounted there by request

Interesting placement of the “Roto Rays” at bumper level on the Snorkel.
#14 by Chris S on April 8, 2019 - 9:36 AM
That Rosenbauer snorkel is wicked

Nice looking Seagrave engines!

Beautiful SEAGRAVE units there. That’s the first time I have seen ROSENBAUR’s new chassis. Looks well…interesting.
#17 by michael m on April 7, 2019 - 10:54 PM
Where will the Rosenbauer Snorkel end up going to? Nice photos of the trucks on display.
#18 by harry on April 7, 2019 - 9:36 PM
Sebastian I don’t know where u get that from but what is so impressive of a red red/white all white black/red and so on they are boring it is as bad as putting green lights on a fire truck because most fire rigs have blue on them
#19 by Mike C on April 7, 2019 - 8:08 PM
Sebastian – You are spot on! He focuses on unique paint schemes and the color lights on the rigs. Just this little sneak peak intrigues me! That heavy rescue that Seagrave brought to the show looks pretty unique. Rosenbauer will have the three new aerials. Spartan is unveiling their new pump under the cab similar to the Pierce PUC as well as a large assortment of LTC and Smeal aerials. The REV Group apparatus builders have kept their display on the down low but I’m sure they’ll bring some good stuff. Pierce has an interesting theme and some new innovations to announce. I’d say this looks like another year with some unique and wonderful apparatus!

Lots of unique looking rigs, with nice color schemes. Pretty cool!
#21 by Martin on April 7, 2019 - 4:08 PM
Wow! A lot of cool and unique apparatus! Definitely wish I could attend this year. Unfortunately I cannot make it.
#22 by harry on April 7, 2019 - 3:09 PM
well at least this year it looks like I would waste a trip to indy too see basic firetrucks I prefer unique ones
