We ordered a Pierce in May of ’16 and still haven’t’ seen any bent metal. They are extremely busy up there.

Mundelein went back to Pierce because the the KME was living up to it’s reputation of Keeping Mechanics Employed

Schaumburg will replace engine 51 and squad 55. Squad 55A will remain in service as is. The current squad 55 will be sold. When engine 51 receives their new engine, the current engine 51 will be handed down to engine 54. Current engine 54 will become the new spare and the current spare will be sold. Engine 52 should be replaced next year as I’m told it has a similar amount of miles and hours as engine 51.

Schaumburg Engine is replacing Engine 51, the current Engine 51 will be moved to Engine 54, and the current Engine 54 will go to reserve.
Squad 55 will be replaced and they will be keeping Squad 55A how it is now.

Which Engine will Mundelein replace? Didn’t they get a new KME in 2014? Also I saw a video on you tube of the 2003 Dash Rescue-engine leaving on a call from their station 1. Is the KME at Station 1 or 2?
Will the Schaumburg Engine replace 51 or 52? The new squad as described here sounds really neat!

They rotate rigs around but last I heard the KME was at station 1. I believe it’s replacing a 90’s era rig

The new Mundelein engine will be replacing whichever one is in reserve right now (Can’t remember which one it is on this site).

Anyone know which Engine Mundelein will replace? I know they received a KME a year or two ago. Not surprised they are going back to Pierce. Also I am not surprised that Park Ridge is going back to Pierce. The tower and one of their engines is a E-One.
Which Engine will Schaumburg be replacing 51 or 52? The new Rescue Pumper for Schaumburg sounds nice!
