This from Josh Boyajian:
I had a great opportunity recently and was able to shoot the new Squad 7 @ O’Hare …Squad 7 is a 2016 Rosenbauer Commander 4000, 18′ walk-in rescue squad company
Shop #AVF657Squad 7A is a 2016 Rosenbauer Commander 4000, ACP-55 Articulating Cobra Platform
Shop #AVF656They are very nice! They seem like they are heavy duty and built well. Hopefully the fella’s have good luck with them.

There’s a Donald Rumsfeld saying in that if you try to please everyone, someone’s not going to like it.
If they are too generic, someone will say they should look better. If they look too nice in the eyes of some, they will complain that they spend to much on cosmetics.
I still think they look good anyway since I’m a fire apparatus nut.

From what I understand the engineer on the mini-pumper was a regular firefighter acting up as engineer most if not all the time.

Look sharp. I assume the engineer will be replaced with a fire fighter. The engineer will be probably assigned to an engine.

Does anyone know what happened to the engineer assigned to old Squad 7A? Is Squad 7 now a five member company as opposed to six? Thanks in advance for any responses.
Excellent photos. I am anxious to see the new Squad 7 respond to fires near the airport in the west end of Battalion 11 and in the adjoining suburbs.

What do you mean by plain rigs? The color of squad 7 is determined by the FAA, must be this color yellow

I think they are very plain rigs both the city ones and the airport ones and the color the airport chooses is bland hope they have good luck with them I will be sad to see the f550 go but it is very old

You picked a good backdrop(the Lord provided it) for the picture. I don’t care what anyone says, I like those COMMANDER’s. They have a distinct look to them.
