I guess you can draw your own conclusions on that but look at all of the FD’s that have adopted CFD color combos on their respective apparatus. Perhaps not the exact same but essentially similar with the green light on the officer side. What would happen if CFD would switch to let’s say light green over purple, I would imagine many others would follow suite. If I had too much money and time, I would buy a conversion bus and have it painted as close to the UPS colors as I could. Then drive it around a UPS terminal just to see how they would react.

I don’t know if I agree that this is a case of someone who works for this organization, saw CFD whether in person or online and thought “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” or a straight up copycat. Or maybe a former CFD member works there and wanted to imitate it…or copycat it.

I actually had one of the NV’s when I was doing breathing air service and loved it. Had more get up and go than the old Chevy before it. Harry I got around 16 mpg in it fully loaded down with 1 week’s worth of compressor cartridges, oil, parts, air test kits and all my tools on the racks.

Harry you must really be doing something wrong if you only get 10 mpg on a SENTRA. I have a ’21 ALTIMA which is a bigger car than yours and I always average mid 30’s and higher.
Martin, those NV’s were meant to compete with GM and had appeal for those that wanted vans that had more traditional features like optional V8 engines and body on frame as opposed to FORD which has the unibody and optional turbo V6. Some contend that body on frame is better and don’t trust these turbo engine yet. But I guess the market spoke and the NV’s are no longer.

Unfortunately, NISSAN no longer builds those vans. Yeah if you look quickly, they sure do look like CFD units.

Oh my. That does give you CFD vibes at quick glance.
