Excerpts from wgntv.com:
Four teenagers have been charged as juveniles in connection with a fire that destroyed the shuttered Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles on May 18 . More than 20 area fire departments assisted the St. Charles Fire Department blaze. No firefighters or civilians were injured in the fire.
A 17-year-old from Carol Stream and a 15-year-old from Wheaton are facing arson charges. Two younger teens have been charged with trespassing and criminal damage to property. A judge placed them on home detention with GPS monitors.
The resort closed in March 2020 after attempts to auction the property were unsuccessful.

Well when they burn a building down vacant or not, they get whatever they deserve. It’s up to them to prove that they have repented later in life. All factors should be considered when passing down punishment.

Those kids must have been talking. Glad they got them. In terms of consequences, I want to see consequences but I don’t want these kids lives ruined. A felony conviction would reduce their chance of getting jobs and we would have more people living on the system.

A 17 year old was charged as a juvenile? They should be charged as an adult for felony arson. They’ll get next to no consequences for what they did.
