Well you’ll find grumpy people just about everywhere. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the CONTENDER line supposed to be a lower cost almost stock that’s mostly for those that want or need an apparatus after an unexpected reason like an apparatus that is wrecked or craps out. “Yeah we don’t care about wheel covers or the mismatched roll ups but we need one.”

I would like to know what the morale looks like on Lake Zurich Fire. Seems like they have some grumpy and big head staff members.
The unpainted roll up door is just as ugly as the wheel covers. I believe this rig is a Pierce Contender which is the extremely light duty body made in Florida. Not impressed at all.

I’m thinking they forgot to put it in the spec that the roll up doors on the cab need to be painted, or the painted doors on the body were an add on. I don’t think those cabinets are for EMS equipment. I think they’re for the officer and engineer to put their PPE in when not wearing it.

tim to answer your question because it makes it look differant i guess you can say why would a dept waste money on a bell useless

Not sure if these new sabers are decent or not. But the older ones were complete junk. They are probably ok for a volunteer dept that runs a couple hundred calls a yr. But nothing more than that.

I like the darker red and overall nice appearance. Like most said, that rollup does stick out but could easily be fixed at some point.

Harry why does an EMS compartment need to pop? The more I look at it the more I think it looks like sh&t. Looks like the plant ran out of paint.

A rare all red unit. In this day and age that’s a real treat in its self. Low hose bed doesn’t hurt either.

RJ you’re right, they painted every other roll up on the thing.

Why not paint the rollup on the cab??? Yuk
