Harry the PO say F550 not an E series chassis. And the last ambulance Roselle purchased was A64 which cost well over $180,000 in fact it was more like $275,000 and with all the prices up…. I mean I would never thought an engine would be $700,000 its ludicrous.

Rich it is doubtful franklin pk would spend this price last ambulance was like 180 000 back in 2019 it is an e series while I am sure the e series is more now than then

Harry, that’s a great comment however in 2015 & 2017 ambulances didn’t cost $350,000. Engines did, I know the fleet manager and the members of Roselle FD personally and I don’t see any of these people paying that much money for a spare vehicle.

Mike M. I went back and reread your comment, I apologize for my previous response. You are probably correct I have every belief that this is a scheduled replacement of Medic 64R. And your thought is most likely correct. The current 64R will be surplus and numbers will be switched, with the current 64 (after repairs) becoming 65, 65 becoming 64R and the new rig should be 64.

Almost $58,000 for a power cot and the loader? Wow. I had no idea…..

Really? Who would buy a 300,000 dollar vehicle and make it the spare? 65 will be front line.

Ok, I am guessing they already know that they will be able to repair 64. It will be interesting to see if they put 64 on this and 65 on the 2019 once it is repaired. Unless they plan to make Medic 65 frontline for awhile.
