Mike Mc,
To answer your question only 4 of 8 trucks were there with West Allis sending a truck as the 5th truck on scene. Milwaukee County has 4 quadrants in the county and there needs to be a minimum number of companies in each quadrant so there’s predetermined transfer houses.
Milwaukee is no longer on Opensky, you can monitor them besides some profiles and talkgroups. Their main fire dispatch and a couple fire profiles and talkgroups are open.

Well I was at work when most of this was was going on. I heard that a West Allis rig perhaps more were there. I would imagine Tosa and other suburban depts helped to cover the stations I don’t have the whole run down unfortunately. I have an UNIDEN 436HP that can monitor P25. There is a full time patch of MFD on OASIS.

Crabby, two questions if I may: 1. Half of the MFD’s truck companies were at this one alarm, did they have suburban trucks change into the city? 2. How do you scan MFD, I thought it was encrypted? Thanks.

Nice to see the Firefighters taking our Cancer prevention efforts seriously by wearing their masks when they vent the roof. Kudos to all of them for taking that extra effort to preserve their long-term health. Too many Firefighters have died prematurely because we previously didn’t know better and didn’t have the right equipment. Now we DO know better and we Do have the right safety equipment. It’s up to us to use the equipment. Years from now your family will thank you!

I saw the smoke coming home eastbound on I-94 in the 3pm hour and heard much of the activity on the scanner.
Sad that there was a fatality according to WISN 12 the local ABC affiliate.
