Rosemont still contracts out their EMS. Rosemont switched to Metro Paramedic Services in April of 2020. The contract is for 12- Firefighter/Paramedics and 1- EMS Coordinator/Contract Manager.

Does Rosemont still contract out to staff their ambulances or did Public Safety take over EMS staffing as well as Police and Fire?

Rosemont switched to 56 and 57 when Norcomm took them over for dispatching. Engine 57, the E-One is currently at Station 56 as the reserve engine. The new Engine 56 is also at Station 56 and won’t be in service for a couple of months. The F-Series Ambulances are front line and the E-Series are reserve. Station 56 houses Battalion, Engine, Tower, Squad and Ambulance 56. Engine 57 and Ambulance 58 are reserves. Station 57 houses Ambulance 57. Engine 58 is there and not staffed. Ambulances 59 and 60 are reserves. Station 57 is staffed with 2- FF/PM’s.

Harry,
If you view the newly posted video of River Grove’s fire, you can see the Rosemont Quantum operating in Division C (rear side) of the structure.

Mike C,
If you look at the 4th pic, the apparatus is on an angle. You can see an extra dimension of reflective markings (chevrons) to gain attention. I think that this is an excellent idea because this engine co. will be used as a blocking apparatus for multiple lanes on the busy Tri-State Tollway I-294. The potential is extremely high for fire apparatus being struck because there are way too many distracted drivers out there. Very sharp looking and well lit rig!

Did they re-number the Division 20 fire stations? I noticed this engine is numbered 56.

Just add the Powercall Siren, it’ll be the best for the east coast copy, I mean it already has the Roto Ray and the 888 😉

I’m trying to understand the chevron on the back of the cab. Curious to see how effective it is.
That wheelbase is long! Too long for my liking!
The Roto Ray and 888’s give it a east coast touch!
