This from Steve Redick:
This was a big deal. The newly restored Rescue 51 made a nationwide tour and stopped at the Chicago Fire Academy. Too bad they had the barrier tape but very cool to see back on May 6, 2000.

The original Squad 51 and both rigs that played Engine 51 are located at the Los Angeles County Fire Museum

The Dodge, the WLF pumper and the Crown pumper are all in the collection of the LA County Fire Museum. The WLF was used by the concessionaire at Yosemite after dispersal by Universal. The Dodge is one of a few built for the show but was fully restored. I understand that they are developing a new museum to display the collection.

One of my all time favorite TV programs.
I guess that DODGE squad is still in a museum someplace and it sure looks great here.
The 1973 WARD LaFRANCE pumper was in service in a small town in CA. for many after production of the program ended and was restored and it too looks mint after it’s service.
